BRISK STAND
HEAD COOK: YUYA NAGASATO
COMPETITION: World Burger Championship
Yuya Nagasato is the owner chef of BRISK STAND. He started his career as a banker after graduation, then moved to a trading company. When he was 34, he reunited with his old friend from college, Ryotaro Maruyama, who was the owner and chef of BRISK STAND at the time. He was so impressed by Maruyama's signature burger "Kitta Yatsu (hal-cut burger)" that he decided to change jobs. He moved his base from Tokyo to Kobe and focused on managing BRISK STAND and expanding its stores. In 2023, Maruyama handed over the company to him, and he became its representative. As of 2025, their burger stand has 12 stores in Japan, and won the top spot out of 72 teams nationwide at this year's JAPAN BURGER CHAMPIONSHIP 2025. With founder Maruyama as sous chef, they aim to become the best in the world.
