A **certified KCBS BBQ Judge** and **disabled veteran**, Marlow brings a lifetime of passion and precision to the competitive barbecue circuit. Marty Marlow has been competing for over a decade under several BBQ governing bodies, such as WFC,KCBS,etc. Marty was listed as one of the Top Pitmasters with his own brand of seasonings in the United States by the BBQ Spot (2023/2024) 🍽️ Early Roots & Background *Raised in **Eastern North Carolina**, Marty’s barbecue journey began with family-style whole-hog cooking on weekends—a tradition that shaped his lifelong love for smoked meats ### 🏅 Competitive Success Marty has over 100 BBQ Awards & On **June 14, 2025**, Marty Marlow and his team clinched **Grand Champion** status at the **World Food Championships – Famous Dave’s All‑Star BBQ Series** in Colorado Springs. Turns include: * **1st place in Chicken** (score: 98.3) * **1st place in Ribs** (95.0) * **2nd place in Wild Card** (97.3) He also earned the **People’s Choice Award**, showcasing both excellence and popularity with judges and the public alike ([BBQ CRITIC][2], [World Food Championships][3]). * This victory marked him the third team ever to win the Grand Champion title at this prestigious event in 2025 ([BBQ CRITIC][2]). ### 🔥 Signature Style & Teamwork * All competition dishes features his own **Rooster’s Championship Seasoning & Sauces**—including Pork Rub, Pork injection, Rib Rub, Sweet Heat, BBQ Chicken rub, Brisket rub, All-Purpose Seasoning, Competition Blend BBQ Sauce and Hot Apple Habanero sauce. Last year (2024) at the World Food Championships finals in indy, Marty took 3rd place in Ribs&Chicken, & 8th in WildCard/Pork but did not advance to the final table for the 150k. This year he is back to make it happen.
