All Categories Now Closed for 2025 World Food Championships in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (June 17, 2025) – The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that all competition categories for the 2025 main event in Indianapolis are now officially closed. With hundreds of skilled cooks and chefs already securing their spots, this year’s field is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in WFC history.

But it’s not too late for those still hoping to join the action.

While category slots are full, Golden Tickets are still up for grabs through a select number of qualifying events happening in the coming months. WFC has reserved a limited number of spots for winners of these upcoming competitions, meaning the path to Food Sport glory is still open.

“We’re thrilled with the excitement and energy building for our return to Indianapolis,” said Mike McCloud, Founder of World Food Championships. “For those who haven’t yet qualified, now is the time to bring your best to a sanctioned event and earn your way into the big show.”
